Derrick Jones
Derrick graduated from Forest Grove High School in 2002 as a two time All-State Selection at Outfield and Utility,
and was also named MVP of the State-Metro All Star Series in 2002.
He graduated from George Fox University in 2006 with a degree in Finance and was a four-year starter and an All-League Selection three of those four years.
As a Junior, he was named Co-Player of the Year in the Northwest Conference and was also awarded 1st Team All-American with fifteen other
Division III players in the U.S.
Derrick signed with the Texas Rangers after being awarded player of the year in the Northwest Conference in 2006.
He played for a year and half in the organization before being released and having to undergo shoulder surgery.
