Matt Ellis
A graduate of Westview High School in 2003, Matt played under Greg Cero for one season. He was voted All Metro in both 2002 and 2003, once as an infielder and once as a pitcher. In his senior year at Westview, he hit .370, with 12 home runs, and 56 RBI’s. After graduating, Matt headed north to play at Yakima Valley Community College for two seasons. There, he was second-team all NWAACC as an infielder. He hit .320, and added 38 RBI’s in his sophomore year. Matt won the Male Athlete of the Year for Yakima Valley and was awarded the Bob Garritson Big Stick award. Matt was invited to play for the Kirkland Kodiac’s following his sophomore season, but due to injuries was forced to retire. He attended Mt. Hood Community College and received his degree in Radio Broadcasting. Matt now works for Platt Electric in Beaverton and is very excited about his first season with Mound Time where he will be assisting with the 7th grade team
